Oldham Jihadists remanded


A couple from Greater Manchester accused of making preparations for terrorism have been remanded in custody at the Old Bailey.
Mohammed Sajid Khan, 32, and Shasta Khan, 37, of Oldham, face four charges under the Terrorism Act.
They are accused of researching improvised explosive devices on the internet and buying household items which could be used to make them.
Their trial is expected to take place in Manchester at a date to be set.
The couple from Foster Street, who also face three counts of possessing information likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, are alleged to have committed the offences between August 2010 and July 2011.
The court heard that one of the charges related to acquiring substances, equipment and information to make explosives.
